THE SCARS

by Patricia Blanco, Endermologue

A scar is an area of fibrous tissue that replaces normal skin after an injury. Scars result from the biological process of wound repair in the skin, as well as in other organs and tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound (e.g., after accidentdisease, or surgery) results in some degree of scarring

The skin can repair small lesions in the top layer - the epidermis - on its own with new skin cells, most of the time without leaving a trace. It is different when it comes to lesions of the underlying layer.

Different types of scars

What there is to know?

There are 4 different types of scars

1/ Hypertrophic scars are particularly common. They are prominent and most of the time red, but do not extend beyond the edges of the wound. This type of scar is often itchy and painful.

2/ Atrophic scars are often the result of an acne breakout and appear as small indentations.

3/ Sclerotic scars are often hard and lack elasticity. When they are located at a joint, they can significantly limit mobility. Sclerotic scars often form after a burn.

4/ Keloids are scars that widen beyond the edges of the wound. The formation of this type of scar is often due to a genetic predisposition.
The more difficult, early appropriate treatment is essential to prevent excessive scar tissue formation.

Scar Removal

WHY?

The skin heals by producing collagen around the wounded area. If it is not helped, this natural process can degenerate and create a barrier within the skin, hindering exchanges between the cells. Whether recent or old, resulting from surgery or an accident, scars often bring back painful memories and can be the source of hang-ups. Far beyond their unsightly aspect, scars can remain sensitive and disrupt everyday life by generating pain and functional disorders

Scar Tissue Recovery

Patricia Blanco, endermology expert for more than 15 years, specialist in the treatment of scars, uses a technology delivered by a patented medical device, medical endermologie® which allows early and painless mobilization of scars, to restart exchanges while reducing the inflammatory state.
At the same time, it will help naturally stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin to give it flexibility and elasticity to the fabric.
The appearance of the scar clearly improves, the pain subsides and mobility is restored.
